Here at 4 Site Security, we are proud of our colleagues going above and beyond and, this October, we’re getting behind Paul Bradford, from our Mobile Team, who is stepping out for a cause that is very close to his heart.

On Sunday, 11th October 2026, Paul will be taking part in the Alzheimer’s Society Leeds Memory Walk, setting off from the beautiful Temple Newsam Estate and covering a challenging 6k. The event brings together communities from across the region to walk, share stories, and support people whose lives have been touched by dementia

Paul is undertaking the challenging 6k route in loving memory of his father, who sadly passed away five years ago, following a rapid onset of cognitive decline.

To honour his dad’s memory, Paul carries forward a touching annual tradition: every year on the anniversary of his dad’s passing, he goes fishing. It was a skill his father taught him, and spending that quiet, reflective time on the water brings back fond memories of the years they spent together.

When asked about the physical challenge of the route, Paul thanked his day job for keeping him fit! Spending so much time out on mobile patrols across Leeds and Bradford means he has plenty of steps under his belt and is well-prepared to take on the distance.

Beyond raising vital funds, Paul wants to highlight the wider impact of Alzheimer’s. Dementia doesn't just affect the individual going through cognitive decline, it profoundly touches every aspect of family life and impacts the entire support network around them.
